Again Wrong Project/Wrong Time!
As a coalition of Johnson County Kansas and Cass County Missouri taxpayers, voters, and concerned citizens we oppose the proposed CARNP changes under consideration by the Johnson County Planning Commission. The picture of the Overland Park Arboretum (left) reminds us that economic growth and development must be balanced with maintenance of our natural environment. The picture of the Arboretum also reminds us that southeastern Johnson County is mostly rural, heavily wooded forest. The density of residential population and commercial businesses is low compared to the rest of the county, and the surrounding MARC counties. There is no population, now or in the future, projected to need the proposed Type I roads under consideration by the Commission.
Urgent Action - Final Public Comment Session Underway - Deadline July 28, 2009
