Our organization exists because the proposed 'South Metro Connection' project would have imposed unjustified economic, social and environmental impacts on residents of Johnson County and Cass County. We worked with other area interest groups to develop area-wide public voter support to convince our elected officials that they should not approve the project. We are dedicated to preserving the physical environment, maintaining public safety, and encouraging fiscal responsibility.
Our Mission is important because all citizens, voters and taxpayers should be represented by elected officials that implement policies that serve their constituency. When policies and decisions negatively impact the public, a mechanism must be implemented to sway and influence decision-makers.
